Inside the EU R&D ecosystem
About
Intract is a boutique consultancy working inside the EU research and innovation ecosystem — close to every project we help shape, from the first proposal idea through to delivery.
Since 2018
Who we are
Intract is a boutique research and innovation consultancy working inside the EU funding ecosystem. We are small by design — a focused team that stays close to each project rather than spreading thin across many, which is what complex consortia need from a partner they can rely on.
Our work centres on Horizon Europe and reaches across related programmes such as Horizon 2020, EUREKA and Era.Net. Within them we move comfortably between deep-tech and digital domains, helping organisations turn strong ideas into funded, well-run projects.
Alongside this, a growing software and automation practice applies the same engineering mindset to the tools that research and operations rely on.
How we work
We work as an embedded partner rather than an outside advisor. From the first spark of an idea, the same small team stays with you — shaping the concept, finding the right call, building the consortium and writing the proposal, and then taking on real work once the project is funded.
That continuity is the point: the people who help win a project are the people who help deliver it, so nothing is handed off or lost between stages. We stay hands-on and close, through every stage from proposal to delivery.

Why partners trust us
Trust in EU R&D is earned through track record, not slogans. Our credibility rests on the consortia we have helped win and run — real projects with real partners — rather than on claims we make about ourselves.
Over the years we have built access to a broad European research and innovation network and a portfolio that spans countries, organisations, funding and programmes. Here is what that looks like:
- Reach
- Dozens of countries
- Organisations
- Over a hundred partner organisations
- Funding
- Millions of € in EU funding
- Programmes
- Horizon Europe & related
If this is the kind of partner you're looking for, we'd be glad to hear from you.
